Never surrender

Vanguard is a band that plays an alternative electronic music. It was formed in late 2008 by Jonas Olofsson and Patrik Hansson. Early this year guys were working on the new album. Obviously, they needed a meaningful album cover. It had to be attractive and easy for understanding. The main challenge was to create a harmonic and "strong" illustration for the cover. 

The band liked the analogy of the bird and the theme "rising" for their new album. And they wanted three main elements in it:

• The phoenix, the bird rising from the ashes.
• The patterns that remind of alchemical circles or likewise in the cover.
• The four symbols for earth, air, fire and water
